Setting the Table with Intention
You don't need a matching set to set a beautiful table. Some of our favorite tablescapes mix a speckled mug with a plain cream plate, or pair a deep brown bowl with lighter serving pieces. The slight differences in tone are what make it feel put together instead of staged.
For everyday meals, we like keeping things simple: one nice bowl or plate that makes even a quick lunch feel a little more intentional. For gatherings, layering in a serving bowl or a textured platter gives the table more depth without much extra effort.
Our biggest piece of advice, honestly, is to actually use the pieces you love instead of saving them for some future 'special occasion.' A handmade bowl gets more beautiful with use, not less. And as you spend more time with your pieces, you'll begin to understand the beauty in imperfection, which is ultimately what makes handmade ceramics so special.
