Our Story
Crafting with purpose, creating with heart
Thornfield & Co. began with a simple belief: that the objects we use every day should bring joy and connect us to the hands that made them.
Founded in 2018 by ceramicist Emma Thornfield, our studio started in a small garage with a single wheel and a dream. Today, we've grown into a team of dedicated artisans, but our commitment to handcrafting every piece remains unchanged.

Our Philosophy
We believe in the beauty of imperfection. Each piece carries the marks of the maker's hands—the slight variations in form, the unique patterns in the glaze, the subtle textures that come from working with natural materials.
Our process is slow and intentional. We source our clay from local suppliers, mix our own glazes using traditional recipes, and fire each piece in our kiln with care. This attention to detail ensures that every bowl, mug, and plate that leaves our studio is built to last.

Sustainability
We're committed to responsible making. Our clay is sourced within 50 miles of our studio, our glazes are non-toxic and food-safe, and we recycle all our clay scraps. We package our pieces in recycled materials and strive to minimize waste at every step.
